About Ray Valdez, MA

Ray earned his Medical Assistant certificate in 2001 and spent the early part of his career working in the Texas Medical Center for the Memorial Hermann hospital system. He also spent some time teaching a medical assistant program at Kaplan Higher Education. 

Ray joined Space City Pain Specialists in July 2016 and was promoted to Medical Assistant Manager in July 2019. Although he primarily works on Dr. Garcia’s team, Ray is responsible for educating our medical assistants to make sure they are up to date on the latest procedures and protocols brought to the practice by the physicians. 

In his free time, Ray enjoys spending time with his family, DIY projects, and watching Houston sports teams.

Ray is fluent in English and Spanish.
